Mold Remediation

SR Construction Services’ history in providing mold remediation services began well before the issue came to the national forefront

Because of that experience, we are recognized today as a national leader in providing this specialty environmental service. When moisture intrudes and remains too long – whether a result of a hurricane or natural disaster, a minor water leak, or construction defect – mold can occur, potentially causing serious secondary damage and health concerns.

We’ll handle the Insurance

SRCS will complete the project for the amount settled with the insurance carrier on your behalf.  A Public Adjuster is not necessary.

Let us carry the bulk of the insurance paperwork burden for you. We’ll work directly with your insurer to streamline the process. We’ll handle the paperwork and the property restoration, leaving you to focus on getting your life back to normal.

We work for you and not the insurance company.

Mold remediation includes:

  • Hazardous waste removal

  • Infrared inspection

  • Indoor air quality assessment

Over the past decade the growing concern about toxic mold has preempted new and much needed research. There is now medical proof that long term exposure can and will cause serious health issues including respiratory irritation, pulmonary infection and other immune related infections. If you recognize any of these symptoms it is always wise to consult your physician.

In many cases, mold can be completely harmless. In excessive amounts, however, mold cleanup can be a mandatory step in attaining a safe, comfortable environment. When mold meets warmth and humidity, it can flourish. Pipe leaks or leaky roofs and windows can set the stage for mold growth. Certain types of mold in excessive amounts can flag an immediate need for mold removal and specific mold remediation procedures. Much of this mold cleanup and mold removal is covered by insurance policies.

SR Construction Services offers comprehensive mold remediation services including:

  • Initial inspection and testing

  • Containment set-up, management and tear-down

  • Removal and discarding of total loss items

  • Remediation and removal of contaminated building materials

  • Detailed cleaning and decontamination of structures and contents

  • HVAC cleaning and decontamination

  • Air scrubbing

  • Duct cleaning

  • Sanding and the physical removal of mold growth from the building envelope

  • Utilizing HEPA equipment such as vacuums and negative air machines

During the entire mold cleanup process, air handling techniques are employed to help prevent the spread (cross-contamination) to other parts of the building.
